A New Voyage, Writing, & Cricket!!
Hello friend
Blowing horns. Loud cheers. Electricity in the air.
And a thrilling encounter!
I watched a cricket match in a stadium for the first time the day before yesterday,.
And it was totally worth it!
I saw my childhood crush, Preity Zinta (a popular Bollywood actress) and a modern inspiration, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (former captain of the Indian Cricket team)!
Though I saw them from a distance, it felt surreal breathing the same air as them!
Anyway, enough fanboying for today! 😀
On a New Voyage
Last weekend, I began a popular cohort-based writing course called Ship30for30.
During this course, I will write 30 atomic essays (5 already done!) in 30 days while learning and practicing the art of online writing.
It is my second writing course after Write of Passage last year which had led to the inception of this newsletter. (Read my reflections from WoP here)
I joined this course to build a daily habit of writing and I am excited to see where would this course lead.
You can find all essays here! Or follow me on Twitter to get daily updates!
Why Do I Write
This was my first atomic essay in the above course. It made me introspect and think about the reasons why I joined the course and most importantly, why I love writing.
There were a few themes that emerged like:
- Writing as a magical Pensieve
- Self-discovery
- Creation
- Overcoming Perfectionism
- Developing courage
Tweet of the Day- How to Deal with the Most Difficult Personalities
This is a fascinating tweet thread talking about 3 negative archetypes in a team-
- The Jerk – Aggressive and defiant
- The Slacker – Doesn’t put in the effort
- The Downer – The pessimistic type
He shares a few strategies that can actively counteract negativity when it creeps in any group in the form of above two archetypes.
That is all from me this week!
As always, thanks a lot for your thoughtful replies and heartfelt wishes during the last week. I have recovered completely now! 🙂

Until next time
Love
Vishal
